Twenty Twelve Civils recently completed the build of Clear Channel UK’s largest in-situ shelter 20 Bay Landmark Shelter in High St. Woking for Clear Channel UK Twenty Twelve Civils recently completed the build of Clear Channel UK’s largest in-situ shelter. The 27.5m ‘Plate shelter’, having 42 glass roof panels and a 2 sided ‘Waferlight’ digital screen at either end, was completed despite some challenges as planned over 15 days. Kindertransport Statue Plinth Installation in Harwich, Essex
Plinth for new memorial, commemorating the ‘Kindertransport’ During the winter of 1938, the first 1000 unaccompanied, Jewish children of the ‘Kindertransport’, (The transportation of children), arrived at Parkeston Quay, near Harwich, fleeing the murderous intentions of the Nazis. These were the first of 10,000 children, who subsequently arrived at the port and were temporarily housed throughout 1938/39 at the Warner’s Holiday Camp, Dovercourt bay, prior to finding new homes, some temporary, some permanent, throughout the UK. Billboard Removals In tandem with the roll out of Clear Channel UK’s latest Digital Advertising units across the UK, Twenty Twelve Civils is now involved in the removal of the old hand posted billboards, familiar at the side of the road, on curtain walls and on the gable ends of properties. Although poster sites remain in everyday use, they do not always have the impact, or are responsive to the requirement for constant change as the latest Digital units. Universal Shelters, Newcastle upon Tyne
Installation of new 'Universal' Shelters During August and September 2020, Twenty Twelve Civils are installing the latest version of Clear Channel UK’s ‘Universal’ shelter, in Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding area. The new Universal’s, replace existing shelters and incorporate a two-sided digital advertising screen at one end of the structure. Toilet Removal: Queens Street, Swindon
Removal of Toilet Unit, in Queens St, Swindon As part of the ongoing programme to remove APT toilet units from various locations in the UK, Twenty Twelve Civils were tasked with removing this unit in Queens Street, Swindon. A pedestrianised walkway, enclosed by buildings on both sides and with bollards, lamp columns and established trees at both ends.
